SUNFLOW is a premium beach brand with the goal of filling every day at water’s edge with smiles. SUNFLOW was founded in 2020 by wife and husband team Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner.
Leslie's happy place is on the beach. One day, after making the all too familiar cumbersome and exhausting journey to the beach and then unpacking our beach chairs, umbrella, towels and other assorted necessities, Leslie collapsed into my uncomfortable and not-very-pretty chair and thought, “There has to be a better way!”
Leslie turned to Greg and said “Someone should design a more comfortable, beautiful, and thoughtful beach chair.”
And voila! SUNFLOW was born.

Our founders
SUNFLOW was founded in 2020 by wife and husband team Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner. Before turning her design energy towards SUNFLOW, Leslie designed fashion collections for Calvin Klein, UGG, True Religion, and Jonathan Adler.
Greg Besner leads all business functions for SUNFLOW. He also teaches as an adjunct professor at NYU Stern School of Business and is the author of The Culture Quotient: Ten Dimensions of a High-Performance Culture.
Leslie and Greg are thrilled at the extremely positive reaction to SUNFLOW, starting with their successful Shark Tank appearance, and are excited to continue helping happy customers upgrade their beach gear.
SUNFLOW gives back
SUNFLOW has donated more than $20,000 to sea turtle protection and ocean conservation on behalf of our customers. In 2024, we will be directing all donations to the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation. This Florida-based charity will allow us to adopt turtle nests and track our nests' hatchlings.
